Join Stepping Stone, TheSheLab, and best-selling author, Jia Tolentino, for Trick Mirror: Reflections on Self-Delusion, a moderated conversation with Lily West from The She Lab. This will be held on Thursday, February 13, from 5:30-7:30 PM at the The Bradbury Downtown and Vault Virginia in downtown Charlottesville.

Tolentino is a Staff Writer at the New Yorker, the author of the essay collection “Trick Mirror”, and a screenwriter. She grew up in Texas, received her undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia, and got her MFA in fiction from the University of Michigan. Her work has also appeared in the New York Times Magazine and Pitchfork, among other places.

All proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Stepping Stone. This annual event serves as our one and only fundraiser. By purchasing a ticket and supporting the event, you are helping us fulfill our mission in providing essentials to under-resourced families with children from newborn to three.

Tickets include light appetizers, and drinks will be available for purchase on-site. There will be mixing and mingling in the Bradbury starting at 5:30 PM. The conversation with Tolentino and West begins promptly at 6:30 PM in the Vault, followed by a Q&A and book signing back in the Bradbury. Books will be available for purchase on-site from Bluebird Bookstop.
